An instrument used to show that the pressure on the base of a container (P) depends on the size of the base, its depth and the density of the liquid it contains (P = s x h x d). This piece from the physics laboratory of the Royal Seminary of Bergara dates from the second quarter of the 19th century and comes from the house of Desbordes, a manufacturer of scientific instruments that began operating in Paris in the 1820s.
