Leslie’s differential thermometer is an instrument used for measuring the difference in temperature between two close points. This type of air thermometer, invented around 1795 by the Scottish scientist Leslie, was used in experiments related to thermal radiation, along with other instruments such Leslie’s cube (AZT-0035) and the parabolic mirror (AZT-0062), etc. This instrument of physics from the Bergara Seminary was manufactured in a Parisian atelier, which following its establishment in 1862 achieved great renown in the final decades of the 19th century in the word of manufacturing and marketing scientific instruments for universities and educational institutions in France.
